Holidays with the Lee's

End of the year once again and the Holiday Season was upon us. Christmas was pretty relaxing. We went to Brinet's and she made a great Christmas Eve dinner, my parents and sister all attended. Ross made shirts for everyone which he loved, I think he might quit his job. They all said "ROSCO SAYS RELAX", Its kinda a hawaii inside joke that became Ross' saying. Christmas morning we watched Ethan and McKenzie open presents from Santa, can't wait to have those mornings with our little kids :) Christmas dinner was at Nan's where the food was amazing. Ross's family sure knows how to cook.

News Years Eve we had our annual dinner and game night at the Lee house with the Finkles and the Williams. We missed the Andersons this year :(. I was surprised I had enough energy to do anything considering that I hadn't slept that well since Christmas from my Lupron shots (I'll get to that).

Dec 19th .. I started my Lupron Shots (told you I would get to it). I have to take my shot at 8:00 every night and as soon as I take it, you don't want to be around me and I DO NOT want to be around you :)  Thank God that I discovered Fertility Meditation which happens after my shots. The Lupron shots stunt and slow all my reproductive parts, and in doing that lowering my estrogen. The first week I was fine but my second week on Lupron I started to have trouble sleeping, very cranky, and was starting to not feel myself.

Stopped taking my BCP's Dec 23rd and started period Dec 27th. Once more was a good sign, but if it comes on schedule next time, we have problems :)

Dec 29th... I had a blood test and ultrasound. They tested my estrogen level which was 30. That is VERY low but they wanted it under 60. My Utlrasound was great, everything perfect.

Dec 30th... I started my Follistim and Menopur shots. Follistim makes the follicles grow in the Ovaries and the Menopur makes your estrogen level rise. As far as symptoms the only one I have had so far is a crazy headache. The estrogen makes you feel ALOT better. I will continue these shots until my Egg Retrieval.

Jan 2nd..Blood test.... Estrogen level was 625. AHHH In 4 days I went from 30 to 625........explains the headache, so they took me off Menopur.

Jan 3rd..Blood test and Ultrasound. Estrogen level is 1050........CRAZY!! Still off Menopur. During my ultrasound I got to look at all the follicles growing. My Doc told me things are moving fast and I can be looking at Sunday or Monday for egg retrieval. Yay!! Then 3 days later from egg retrieval they will transfer the embryos back, then bed rest. This is all so exciting. I will do my best to update you guys in the process. Thanks for all the support, love, and prayers!!!
